The SAI National Swimming Academy at Dr. SPMSPC is being established in two phases. In the first phase
(May, 2014 to February, 2015), the Academy will be flagged of for approximately forty non­residential inmates. In the second phase (April, 2015-March, 2016), the academy shall become fully residential.

The academy functions as a ‘High Performance Centre for swimmers above 10 years of age.

 

The SAI National Swimming Academy at Dr. SPMSPC is being established in two phases. The academy will function as a ‘High Performance Centre for swimmers above 14 years of age, post the recruitment of the High Performance Expert and Technical Director.Glenmark Aquatic Foundation has patterned SAINSA  to partner the flagship SG-TIDM program.

The Academy will also be the feeder cadre for the High Performance Centre, which will be pivotal in ensuring that all talented athletes are given opportunities to develop and excel at various levels of sport. This Academy system is underpinned by the principles of Long – Term Participant Development to ensure that we develop a whole individual. The academy would be fully supported by a sports sciences team at the prestigious complex

Skill Development
Provide skill development and resources essential for competition at the highest level.

Exclusive Avenue
Provide athletes with an avenue to pursue State and National representation in Swimming

Learning
Provide athletes with education and experience through association with the combined
knowledge of Coaches in the discipline of swimming.

Team Spirit
Provide a team environment and foster team spirit at State and National Championships ,and
International Competitions.

Opportunities
Provide selection opportunities for inclusion into National & International swimming teams.
